About Symposium
Mass spectrometry is one of the most powerful analytical tools due to its capabilities for sensitive, ac¬curate, and high-throughput sample analysis. It has been widely applied in various fields such as food safety, forensic sciences, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, and material and environmental sciences. Mass spectrometry has also been applied in the biomedical researches including proteomics, metabolomics, cancer and diabetes diagnosis, and new born screening. This conference is a continuous effort by scientists in Taiwan to maintain an open channel for communicating scientific concepts and technical advances in mass-spectrometric-based research in clinical medicine. We are proud to have invited many distinguished national and international scholars to deliver speeches at the conference. Topics discussed in this conference include cancer markers, new technology for clinical diag-nosis, molecular imaging, public health and occupational safety/toxicology, disease biomarkers: proteins/peptides/metabolites, and the identification of microorganisms. Since the launch of “Mass Spectrometry for Clinical Diagnosis 2013”, we hope to keep this momentum to facilitate the development of mass spectrometry for human health.
